Where the record lives
Tachovo: With you, exportable at any time
An analysis bureau: With the bureau, in their format
The transport manager, compliance clerk or owner-driver answerable for drivers' hours in a GB fleet, who downloads cards, analyses them and has to produce the evidence afterwardsNot a driver looking up a symbol or making a manual entry, not somebody applying for a tacho card, and not a fleet shopping for telematics
Tachovo is for the office that has to produce the evidence: the transport manager named on the O-licence, the compliance clerk in a haulage or coach fleet, the owner-driver who is both. The free drivers' hours check works out, from the hours a driver has actually done, when the next break falls due, what driving is left today and this week, and how much of the week is gone. Tachovo Pro keeps what follows: the card downloads with their dates, the analysed driving, the infringements raised and signed by the driver, and the pack behind them when somebody asks. The limits are figures you enter, because this site publishes no regulation and no legal advice.
Tachovo Pro is £49 per month for the whole fleet, billed monthly.
Tachograph analysis
Download, analyse, evidence
The first question in any investigation is whether the cards were downloaded on time. That is a date against a card, and it is the cheapest piece of evidence to keep and the most expensive to be missing.
Analysis is arithmetic, and the value is not the clever part: it is that the same arithmetic is applied to every driver every period, so an outlier is visible rather than remembered.
An infringement nobody signed is a finding you cannot show you acted on. The record's job is the loop, not the detection: found, put to the driver, explained, signed, filed.
Free to use. No account, no card, no trial clock.
A bureau reads your cards and sends back a report, which suits an operator with no office time and no appetite for the software. Tachovo suits the office that wants the record in its own hands, updated as the downloads happen rather than a fortnight later, and does not want to pay per report to see it.
Tachovo: With you, exportable at any time
An analysis bureau: With the bureau, in their format
Tachovo: As the download is recorded
An analysis bureau: When the report comes back
Tachovo: The driver, against the record
An analysis bureau: Usually the office, from the report
Tachovo: One price for the whole fleet
An analysis bureau: Commonly per driver or per report
The comparison is category level and names no bureau and no price. What a particular bureau charges is theirs to publish, and this site quotes no competitor's figure.
Upgrading turns the check into the evidence. The download has a date and a deadline; the analysed driving sits against the driver and the vehicle; the infringement is raised, sent, signed and kept. Export is always available, so the compliance history is yours whether or not you stay.
